Yes, I have my VirtualCenter and UpdateManager databases non-local. But now I need to create another database on that remote SQL server for SSO. I was hoping to avoid having to create and keep track of another database.
Like you, my vCenter server has no databases, nor do we want it to have any databases.
I've emailed my DBAs to see if they can create the new SSO database and users, so I can continue with the install. Hope it isn't a problem that my remote SQL server is a named instance, rather than the default instance.
