It could perhaps happen that someone at some time would disconnect one the network cables for some reason. If that would happen then your whole network access would suffer a lot since the MAC flapping will be massive on the physical switches. I belive there is a quite high risk to have IP Hash with four cards going to two pSwitches even with Active/Standby.
Either if your switches support some vendor specific Multi Switch Link Aggregation or use Port Based ID load balancing. The only thing you lose with Portbased is the possibility for a single VM to consume more than one pNIC at the same time.
(However that will only be under certain condition and the Load Balancing is not really balancing on the load, but in effect a random distribution.)
