Visual Studio C++ 2008 has gone end of life by Microsoft. The VMware Tools that is deployed with my Vsphere 5.5 contains C++ 2008 and I am looking for documentation from VMware on what versions of VMware Tools contain what versions of C++ so that I can upgrade my environment to a version that is supported by Microsoft or that do not require the install of C++. I see many people discussing C++ 2008 failing to install etc, but not the information that I am looking for.
