Multiple VM image cleanup and validation

Question :

Is there a tool to clean up the disks across multiple virtual machine images.   Also, is there a tool to validate all the images in a tree are complete.  I have around 30 images, some used actively and some for archives of development environments.  I'd like to know if those images are all complete.  And remove any disks or vm's that are not.  This is just fragmentation of VM's created over the last 15 years.
