Here is the workflow for printing using thinprint. As you can see, the printer driver used is the one on the horizon client. If I understand you correct, what you need to do is install the printer on the horizon desktop using group policy, UEM, or another method with the drive you want. If your using a Windows print server, you load the client version of the print driver on the server.
