Hi All. I'm new to the VM world and it really fascinates me. So much so that i'm now looking to get my cert in VCA then VCD. However after looking at some YOUTUBE videos and some CBT nuggets i'm looking to set up my own vm network. However i'm confused in regards to what i need to get this going. I saw that i can set up vsphere on a laptop and set up a network including a server on it as long as i have at least 64GB or RAM. Then i saw that i can use a desktop PC with at least 32GB of RAM and use VM Workstation and set up the network there. My Question: can someone please advise me...1) what can i start with (desktop or laptop)...2)How much RAM do i really need 3) Any suggestions on the best way to get a good working knowledge of vmware. Sorry for the babbling just trying to start my VMware journey so i figured I'd ask you pros. Thanks for any and all help.
