Hi!
I've tried everyting mentioned on this post and still can't make my VM running Win 7 to Brindge the Wireless and/or Ethernet connection from the Mac. Please, does someone else have an option? Ive even created new network adapters with the mutiple options to see if it works. I was really expecting to be able to at least pass the Ethernet connection. Therefore, I beleive there is an issue with Fusion.
I am also wondering if there is someone out there that has Fusion 5 with Win7 and is able to Bridge the wireless and ethernet without a problem.
Thanks.
Well, I have been able to do bridged connections either via Ethernet or Wireless from Fusion 5 and Win 7 everywhere I use my laptop except for one password-protected "open, guest" network at one hospital. Their IT department tells me their WiFi access points are configured in a manner that makes them not recognize some clients trying to connect (as a consequence of which the wireless client (my MacBook Pro's Fusion 5 VM) creates a self-assigne IP for itself. Weird thing is that the Mac OS is able to connect to the same WiFi router.
Doesn't help, but suggests the problem isn't necessarily in Fusion and is more likely in the host.
